About
who I am
Becoming the Developer
The Origin
“I didn’t grow up just completing assignments. I grew up learning how to elevate them. In my household, the standard was never just get it done. It was: make it clear, make it polished, and make it make sense.
A simple PowerPoint wasn’t just slides. It had structure, transitions, and intention. A poster board wasn’t just information. It had layout, design, and presentation. A speech wasn’t read. It was delivered.
Those weren’t classroom requirements. They were household rules. That’s where I first learned to go beyond what’s expected—not for extra credit, but because that was the standard.”
Becoming “The One”
“For a long time, technology in my world had a go-to person: my mom. She didn’t just fix problems — she taught people. She helped them understand what they were doing so they could do it again on their own.
After she passed, something shifted. People started coming to me. At first, it was small. Then it became consistent. And then it became clear. I wasn’t just helping. I was continuing what she started, and over time, people began to say:
“You’re picking up where your mother left off.”
And for me, that wasn’t just a compliment. It meant I had reached a standard that mattered.”
How I Work
I don’t just solve problems. I teach people through them. When someone comes to me with a tech issue, I’ll fix it, but I’ll also show them how it works, how to do it again, and how to avoid the issue next time. Because to me:
“If I fix it for you, it works today. If I teach you, it works for a lifetime.”
I’m hands-on, patient, and intentional about how people learn, because I care about the moment when it clicks for them. That moment is my favorite part.
What Makes Me Different
Apps matter to me because they’re supposed to help people. They should make things easier, clearer, and more intuitive. And when they do, you feel it. When they don’t, I notice it immediately.
I pay attention to layout, usability, and terminology — whether something actually makes sense or feels like you need a class just to use it. Because I’ve seen what it looks like to guide someone step by step until they understand something.
A good app should do that on its own. And when it doesn’t, I don’t just see that it’s wrong. I see how it could be better.
Where I’m Going
I’m growing into an app developer who doesn’t just build things that work, but builds things people can actually understand and use. Because for me, it’s not just about the code. It’s about the experience. It’s about clarity. And it’s about creating tools that truly help people — the same way I’ve always done, just at a larger scale.
